At first me and Emmy were hiding at a vacation spot from Ian and Justin found us at a smoothie shop. I made eye contact but we left and went to the room we were staying at. He tried to break in after I hid Emmy he made it inside and found me and started being aggressive hitting me and holding me trying to force himself on me calling me names. I was able to hurt him and push him out the door but he came up with a vengeance and I was trying to lock it but he broke the door so there was a gap and he pointed a gun at me . He broke the door worse and continued to hurt me until other women showed up, maybe his friends but it didn’t stop him. The other women wouldn’t help me I felt invisible. I had to grab him and fight him out the door, because the door was broken I pushed him down a flight of stairs to injure him so he couldn’t come back. Emmy was safe, she never heard or saw anything. We immediately left and I filed a police report. We were heading home. This dream quickly shifted to a worse nightmare. I was traveling and pulled around in a turn around to take a picture of something work related for my dad, I noticed a toy and grabbed it for Emmy it was on the side of the road. As I turn around I see Ian’s dad chasing me fast around the corner and I sped down the mountain and took a different exit to to the house and got there quickly, I ran inside locking doors pulling Emersyn into a closet with me. I see them making there way around the house so I pull out my phone to call but they made it in. Somehow my parents knew, I told my mom I was on my way home and somehow my dad realized I was already home. When I looked outside there was cops all lined outside on the street in front of my house and driveway. The other people with him were put on the ground but he was missing because he was already in the house trying to find me. I crawled out of the closet and told Emersyn to stay very quiet. He saw me and lounged at me. I hit him with a glass object but it hardly slowed him down because he started hitting and grabbing me. The cops finally came inside and found him and though he was violent they got him on the ground and arrested. We were hiding from Ian who I thought set it up, he showed up and so did other family of his. I was emotional and holding onto to Emersyn for dear life while everyone checked on us my parents wanted Emmy but I wouldn’t let her go. His family wanted to see her but I wouldn’t let her go. When I saw Ian I was ready to be malicious, filled with adrenaline and hatred I said “ this is all your fault you almost killed Emersyn”, he got this insane psycho look on his face and said he didn’t do it and he scared me just with his eyes and tone. Nobody believed he didn’t have anything to do with it, not even outside family members of his. I was hysterical screaming at him .. then I woke up
Dreams often serve as manifestations of our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your dream appears to be a vivid and intense reflection of underlying fears, insecurities, and a quest for safety and protection, especially concerning loved ones like Emmy.
Themes of Safety and Protection: At the core of your dream is a strong desire to protect someone you care about, embodied by your efforts to keep Emmy safe. This suggests that you might be dealing with feelings of vulnerability in your waking life, perhaps related to specific relationships or situations that make you feel threatened or insecure. The aggressive behavior from Ian and the presence of other women who do not support you may symbolize feelings of isolation or betrayal. You might be facing a situation where you feel unsupported by those you would typically rely on for help.
Conflict and Confrontation: Your interactions with Ian signify an unresolved conflict or tension in your life. The aggressive nature of your confrontations represents an internal struggle with emotions such as rage, fear, and helplessness. This conflict could relate to a person or situation that you feel is attempting to exert control over you. The feeling of being attacked — both physically and emotionally — reflects a fear of losing personal agency or autonomy in a particular context.
Symbolism of Doors and Barriers: The recurring motif of doors in your dream signifies boundaries. Your attempts to lock doors and keep Ian out illustrate a strong desire to maintain control over your personal space and emotional state. However, his ability to break down these barriers signifies feelings of powerlessness in the face of external threats.
The Police and Assistance: The appearance of the police as protective figures suggests that on some level, you’re looking for external validation and support in dealing with overwhelming situations. Their delayed arrival, however, may reflect feelings of frustration and helplessness when assistance is not immediate. The presence of law enforcement can indicate a desire for justice and order in your life.
The Shift to a Greater Nightmare: The dream shifts from a personal conflict to a broader threat, indicating that your fears may stem from multiple sources. Seeing Ian’s father pursuing you symbolizes how anxieties can be intergenerational or involve family dynamics. It can also represent feeling pursued by unresolved issues from the past. Your instinct to move to a safer environment is a natural response to anxiety but also reflects your wish to escape situations that feel threatening.
Emotional Catharsis: Your emotional outburst towards Ian in the dream highlights a deep well of pent-up feelings. The adrenaline and hatred might represent the frustrations and struggles you are experiencing in waking life, particularly feelings of betrayal or injustice. The way you hold onto Emersyn indicates the instinct to protect innocence and nurture bond, perhaps also suggesting your fear of losing that bond in a chaotic environment.
Concluding Reflection: Overall, this dream can be seen as a powerful, albeit distressing, exploration of your subconscious concerns about safety, loyalty, and emotional vulnerability. It highlights a fierce protective instinct, especially towards those you care about, alongside a struggle against feelings of powerlessness. This may suggest a need to confront these fears in a constructive way within your waking life. Consider reflecting on any real-life situations that evoke similar feelings and explore healthy ways to cope with and address those feelings. Journaling about your experiences and seeking support from trusted individuals might also help process these complex emotions.
